Local elections see some contested candidate races and issues.

While the Presidential races are getting most of the attention, there are local races to be considered such as for county commissioner, sheriff, county engineer, prosecutor, recorder, treasurer, common pleas judge and clerk of courts.

Congressional and state representative races are also up for grabs.

A local issue that impacts several area counties is the replacement levy for the Paint Valley ADAMH Board.
Ross County also see a renewal levy for the senior citizen center.
Pickaway County includes Teays Valley Schools Income Tax replacement, three township issues and two villages.

Mitt Romney and Rick Santorum devoted most of their campaigning to the state in the last days before the 10-state primary voting, Romney looking for a decisive victory while Santorum hoped to regain momentum in his chase.
