Health commissioner asks for "viscious dog" policy
Recent action by the state legislature concerning "viscious dogs"- has led the Ross County Health Commissioner to request help from the county board of commissioners....

Dr. Timothy Angel says state law still permits counties to make those designations on a local level, which he is asking the Ross County Board of Commissioners to do.
The board has appointed the dog warden to work with the health commissioner on creating a policy they can look at for possible approval.
Dr. Angel says Ross County has had numerous reports of dogs biting people in the last few years, including a number of serious child-bite cases.
