The aging house needs siding replaced among other fix-ups.
Officials with the Lucy Hayes Heritage Center are holding a campaign to raise money for renovations to the building that housed Chillicothe native and former First Lady Lucy Webb Hayes.
Shirley Thacker is vice-president of the board, and says "The Friends of Lucy Hayes" will be looking into a grant opportunity, but will have to seek community support for the project they had appraised last year at at least $150,000.

Those who would like to contribute to the restoration of the building first erected in 1825 can send monetary donations to Friends of Lucy, P.O. Box 1790, Chillicothe.
