Kempton back in Council Chambers after surgery

Mayor Kempton was in attendance Tuesday night at Waverly's Council Meeting.

He stated he was grateful for everyone's patients with him during his recovery from an emergency Triple Bypass Surgery.

Business included Council changing some job descriptions for Water Company Employees. as the requirements were higher than they needed to be for the Villages Water Company.

Council felt there was no reason for keeping the requirements that high. Employees can still get all the licensing they need though for their jobs.

Mayor Kempton was happy that the village is still able to offer Spring Clean Up to Waverly residents this year and is scheduled for April 23rd through May 4th.

April 23rd through April 27th will be for the Green Acres, St. Mary's, Rt. 104, The Heights, Walnut Street, East Street, Columbia Drive, etc...

April 30th to May 4th will be Bridge Street, Second Street, High Street, The Estates, Bristol Village etc....

Gas tanks, batteries, railroad ties, and tires will NOT be accepted.

Resident are to have all items on the curb by the last day in their area no later than 7 am.

Council was also requested to provide use of Bristol Park for the Summer Star Movie Series that will begin with its first show on May 26th, June 9th, 23rd, 30th, and July 14th. Which Council members were excited to grant.
