The Shermans storm back from a 0-2 deficit to win in five sets
Unioto joined Westfall as the second team to win a volleyball match at the once invincible Adena, coming off the deck for a 21-25, 12-25, 25-23, 25-22, 18-16 victory Thursday night.
Alexis Overly was unstoppable for the Shermans with 20 kills, 20 assists and 19 digs. Halle White and Taylor Overly added 11 kills each.
The Shermans improve to (3-3) in conference play, while Adena drops to (4-2) with one match remaining in the first round.
Elsewhere, Zane Trace moved their record to (6-0) with a 25-9, 25-19, 25-15. Westfall now stands alone in second with a (5-1) mark after sweeping Piketon 25-10, 25-14, 25-18.
Huntington ran their record to (4-2) with a 25-15, 25-17, 25-15 win over Southeastern.
First round action concludes on Tuesday.
