Chillicothe (2-9) drops Quaker Holiday Classic consolation match.
In Chillicothe’s consolation battle with Sugarcreek Garaway, the Cavs never got in sync...while their opponent operated as a well-oiled machine.
The Garaway Pirates won the match 55-29.

The Cavs played the first 17 minutes without leading scorer Zach Johnson (20.8ppg), and a number of younger Cavaliers who made the trip found themselves shouldering a good bit of the load.
Tommy Bolte hit a basket to tie the game at 2-2 and Nate Rosenbauer
dropped in a bucket for a 4-2 lead. Then, Garaway took over, scoring the next 30 points.
The Pirates closed out the first quarter hitting 11-of-14 field goals to build a 26-4 lead after the first period. Garaway jumped ahead 32-4 before Rosenbauer hit another bucket to snap the 30-0 run by the Pirates.
Chillicothe won the second half of play but was never able to overcome the surmountable lead built by Garaway in the first half.
Chillicothe (2-7) returns to play with an SEOAL showdown for first place in the league at Warren. The Warriors (3-0) are a game ahead of Chillicothe (2-1) in the SEOAL.
