Four former Circleville High school Athletes were inducted into the Hall of Fame Friday
David Bass, Steve Dade, George Moore, and Sara Hildenbrand were inducted into the Circleville High School Athletic Hall of fame in a special ceremony held at the school Friday evening.
David Bass, from the class of 1964, was a three sport star for the Tigers in the early 1960's, playing football, baseball, and basketball. David earned all SCOL in both football and baseball, and earned seven varsity letters.
Steve Dade, of the class of 1968 earned eight varsity letters in football and track. he was a member of two unbeaten football teams in 1966 and 1967. Steve was named all SCOL, county back of the year, and honorable mention all-Ohio. After High school, Steve went on to play football and run track at Northeastern Oklahoma A&M.
George Moore, of the class of 1976, was a standout in both basketball and track. In basketball, George was first team all=league and all-district, and was honorable mention all-state. George held school records for rebounds, steals, shooting percentage, and free throw percentage. After high school, George was a three year starter for Ohio Wesleyan.
Sara Hildenbrand, of the class of 2000, was a three-sport star for the lady tigers. She earned nine varsity letters in softball, volleyball, and basketball. In volleyball, Sara was named second team all MSL twice, and first team once. In basketball, she was named first team all MSL and all-district three times and twice named special mention all-Ohio. Sara set school records for 3 pointers in a game, season, and career as well as free throw percentage in a season, points in a game, and points in a season. Sara graduated as the Lady Tigers all-time leading scorer, scoring 1200 career points. Sara is currently the Junior varsity coach for the Westfall Lady Mustangs.
